Use as an app
You can add Character Counter to your home screen and use it like an app. No store download and no sign-up — just tap the icon and start counting characters right away, without hunting for a bookmark first.
You are already using this site as an app. No further steps are needed.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Tap the share button at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose "Add to Home Screen" from the menu.
- Tap "Add" in the top-right corner, and the icon will appear on your home screen.
Android (Chrome)
- Tap the menu button in the top-right corner.
- Choose "Add to Home screen", then tap "Install".
Desktop (Chrome / Edge)
- Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
- If you do not see it, open the Chrome menu and choose "Cast, save, and share" then "Install page as app", or the Edge menu "Apps" then "Install this site as an app".
To undo
Press and hold the icon on your home screen or app list (on desktop, use the menu in the app window) and remove it. The site itself remains available in your browser as usual.
